It’s an exciting day for me — I just published the announcement of the website to social media! I’m hoping that I’ll be able to find a handful of like-minded (or contrary!) math teachers who would like to give the website a spin and see what works and what does not!
Additionally, I’m getting pretty close to releasing the latest new feature of the website– a new math visualization tool that I’m calling “Visibility”. Honestly, it’s a lot like other online graphing calculators, but I’ve written this one from scratch and it has a number of features that I am excited about. Much as was the case with the creation of ALOFT, honestly a big part of what I liked as I created Visibility was the fact that I had to think through all the challenges and decisions that go into a tool like this — I think that I learned a TON by doing this!
